Complete renovation of two adjacent flats

140 sq.m. | Year 2014

ackling the design of a mountain home without falling into the cliché of the rustic house, made of fake gnarled beams and rural nostalgia, was challenging and fun.

Gabetti and Isola’s relationship with the project is a given, since - in the early ‘70s - they had conceived this house, hidden from the road and perched on the mountain wall, as a modern "living machine" with all the state of the art comforts, including an indoor Spa and a heated pool.

The project brought together two adjacent units, albeit respecting the original idea of the duplex à-la-Le Corbusier, with the living area on the lower floor and the bedrooms upstairs. By working on spaces conceived down to the inch, it was possible to obtain everything necessary for a use by 5 people, in a home that often has guests.

There are 8 beds, three bathrooms, a large living area with a modern and super-equipped kitchen.

The deep terrace in larch, covered with a transparent canopy, and lit at night with LED lights, is a true outdoor living room with a comfortable sofa that is enjoyable in all seasons. It is a place of rest and contemplation of nature.
The light and the breathtaking view do the rest.
